Spaces are limited, and plus-ones are ideally reserved for people we've met. But make the request when you RSVP and we'll let you know – honestly and quickly.

No – we are keeping the weekend kid-free, with an exception for family. If your little ones are family, tell us their ages when you RSVP so we can plan seats and plates.

On the main day, the theme is La Vie en Couleurs, Life in Colour! Think red, orange, yellow or green. For women, mid-to-floor length outfits. For men, summer casual suits. No need for black tie. Wear shoes that like grass and dancing. On Sunday, think chic beachwear, swimwear and linen for Samba et Soleil.

English, French and Portuguese will mix freely all weekend, toasts included. Don’t worry, laughter translates itself.

Late August in Aveyron: hot days around 28°C, golden evenings, cool nights. If the sky argues, the party moves under cover – it argues rarely.
